Bon Jovi announces O2 Residency in London! Two more shows added!

February 8, 2010

It’s official! The O2 arena is declaring June Bon Jovi Month with the band expanding their shows throughout June 2010.

Bon Jovi today announce that they have added 2 more dates to their London O2 residency due to extra high demand for tickets!

Set to be the music event of the summer, the world’s biggest live band are moving to London and staying even longer. The world’s most popular venue will be Bon Jovi’s house for 12 nights.

Joining them for the two extra dates on June 25 and 26, will be Kid Rock. These dates mark the return of Kid Rock to the UK following his number 1 summer smash single All Summer Long, . Having sold over 25 million albums in the US alone, Kid Rock will be bringing his incredible genre spanning live show featuring the Twisted Brown Trucker.

AEG Live’s Rob Hallett, promoter for the residency, comments:

“London is staging one of the great rock n roll shows, night after night this summer. There are very few bands in the world that can sell out this many dates at one venue and we haven’t stopped yet. As a promoter, you listen to the fans and if the demand is there, you can do something as big of this. We’ve been listening and it’s a deafening roar out there.”

The Circle Tour kicks off in Hawaii in February and will see the band spend nearly two years spanning the globe, including landmark shows as the first musical act to play at The New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey on May 26th and 27th, while the London residency will start June 2010.

With over 120 million albums sold, countless awards and stellar stadium shows year after year, Bon Jovi are the greatest live rock experience around

Tickets are available from www.bonjovi.com / 0844 775 775 and due to demand, there are now 12 dates on offer.

After Bon Jovi opened The O2 arena on 24th June 2007, the now famous O2 residencies have become synonymous with the biggest acts in the world.

Bon Jovi are as big as they come, while other artists of their generation slow down, the New Jersey natives are hitting their peak. They are ranked as Billboard's #1 top-selling tour of 2008 worldwide, released their new album The Circle last year with an incredible documentary When We Were Beautiful. The 2nd single from the album, Superman Tonight, is receiving massive radio support in the UK, including from Radio 2 and Absolute.

Alongside those 120 million albums sold, the band has performed more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans. Bon Jovi is at their best when they are on the move and that is truer now than ever before.

Kid Rock is an American rock star who has sold over 25 million albums around the world. His current album, "Rock 'N Roll Jesus" debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and has been accompanied by sold-out worldwide touring. He is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album being produced by Rick Rubin. In addition to his musical activities, Kid Rock has become one of the countries most vocal supporters of US Military personnel serving overseas, making countless trips to provide entertainment and support. Sorry to moan about this again...

Just saw the pre-sale for this - 1 ticket, not on the floor and half way down the arena...guess how much?! £215! Sorry guys, but what the hell?! I paid less than that for 2 gold circle tickets, petrol money to Milton Keynes and food for the day last time I saw the band. Yes, more reasonably priced tickets are available...but you better not suffer from vertigo! Sorry to be so negative, but this is one very alienated fan...
