This was a great show. I loved the set list. I didn't expect to hear some of the songs that they played and it was a great surprise. It was very different from last year's concert and truly enjoyable. The crowd was a bit quiet and it made me wonder how many of those ticket holders were fans and how many of the tickets were comped seats. Thanks for a great concert!
The show had great variety & plenty of songs at 21, but time-wise it WAS shorter than most, clocking in at just under 2 hours. I sat in the front row RIGHT in front of Richie and could have just watched his magical hands for DAYS... you KNOW you are in the presence of a master & prodigy. I wish he had brought out more guitars though, Gillette Stadium was like a "guitar show" but I was too far away to see them in detail. This show he "only" used about 5 of the 35 from the vault. Please show us more in May!!!!
I have been listening to the acoustic version of "Superman Tonight" on YouTube. It is even better then I remember!! Thank you Jon for sharing that version with all your fans at Mohegan Sun.
Of course we always want more but..... what a great set list! I loved Superman tonight just as much as everyone else but for me the treat of the night was Hey God. What passion in that song! Distant?? Hoping for more surprises at the show in May.
Just found my way to the website. Saw the band three times at Mohegan Sun so far. I must admit that I was also disappointed in the short setlist. Great songs overall. Not much interaction with the crowd, and the band never left the center of the stage. Last year, Jon was all over the place, the band played out at the top of the arc. THAT was a great show. Maybe Jon was still recovering from his B-day!
I agree with Cherylk -- the set list kept me guessing as well :) PLEASE PLEASE record the acoustic version of "Superman Tonight". I was moved to tears! As always, an AWESOME show by an AMAZING band!!!
Loved the set list. I've been to 3 other Bon Jovi shows and this set list kept me guessing. Mixing the old with the new was great. "Superman Tonight" was amazing!! I will be going to the May 7th show. I hope the show will be a little longer!!
This was an amazing set list with all kinds of "goodies" coming out of the vault. I haven't heard "living in sin" live since 2003 what a treat!! And to those who said it was too short I can only agree in theory because it could never be long enough for me! Love you guys and am looking forward to the next show in May. I also agree with RUTPOP that you should record the amazing acoutic version of "Superman Tonight" it totally blew me away!! Counting the days 'til May 7th! XOXO
This was my 10th (or 11th?) Bon Jovi show, and hands down one of the best I have ever seen. It definately had the "club" feel Jon mentioned at the beginning of the show. I absolutely LOVED the set list, and could not have been happier to hear so many of my favorite, yet seldom played live, songs. I also loved hearing David sing, that was a truly a special treat. And I don't feel that 21 songs is in any way a short set. Of course I left wanting more, I always do!!! Fantastic show boys, see you next time <3
Totally disagree with the posters who claim Jon was "distant" Didn't get that feeling at all. As for the show being short - 21 songs is nothing to complain about especially with the amazing and rare set list we got. I was at the legendary MSG show the week before and both nights were fantastic in their own unique way. I Loved that Lorenza was brought out to play with the band again, and to be there to hear David sing ITA - OMG & WOW!! To me the night was full of surprises. If I had one suggestion it would be that they should record and release that stunningly haunting version of Superman Tonight - PLEASE!!!
I agree with other posts.... loved the set list. but why so short and Jon was a little " distant " during this show. I hope in may youll be a little more excited to be there.
Great job last night guys but I felt like we get a little short changed......didn't mind you shaking up the set list but didn't feel like your hearts were in this one.....Jon is usually all over the stage/venue.....this is my 3rd circle tour concert - disappointed the band didn't make it down to the outer circle or sing some og the biggest crowd pleasers. Is this because Mohegan sun is a smaller venue?? Will be back in May -hope you bring the energy too!!

Absolutely FANTASTIC SETLIST!!! But why so short? A setlist like this with more songs would be absolute perfection.
