Irony lies in TC desc. words riff rock with what is essential and trademark for Bon jovi's rock record,so basically you are saying that something is your legacy without all parts that made it.
So we are 8 months away and Circle isn't spinning anymore for me,in fact it stopped 5 months ago and left me still in search for a ...
If TC was influenced by Pink Floyd,Dire Straits,Jimi Hendrix,Led Zeppelin,Clapton,Leonard Cohen,Bob Seger, which I believe Bon Jovi can only learn from and find ispiration,I'm sure that Bon Jovi would get critical acclaim, fans appreciation, and this kind of record will only strengthen their position as a serious rock n roll band.
Like every songwriter Bon Jovi will always need inspiration, and there's nothing they already don't know about U2 which could lead to their benefit in terms of songwriting or skill development,so how can you write great song when you are limiting yourself with simple lines and melodies, you know that everyone expects more from you but you are giving less 'cause somebody has better sales than you. I could understand this kind of approach if Bon Jovi were beginners in search of a spotlight, but not for a band that has been present 26+ years on the music scene.
Richie once said "You can't polish a bullshit,we know when we have something great" and maybe he's right on that but just for the polishing part, for the greatness I'm not so sure. Why?Well,WWBTF is that great song that Richie is referring to,but is it really great, let's look, songwriting?nah, been there, lived my life many times, skip it,enough, melody?rock riff, can't find it,more like synth riff, rhytm carbon copied BTBMB,solo uninspired and rushed in,vocals basic with no screams,no high pitch parts.
Play this song in Brazil!!!! Oh My God this song is Perfect!!!
