BON JOVI MAKE LONDON THEIR HOME FOR SUMMER 2010, KICKING OFF JUNE

October 22, 2009

THERE GOES THE NEIGHBOURHOOD ....................................... BON JOVI IS MOVING IN!

The World’s Biggest Live Band Take up Residence at London’s 02

The Only European Bon Jovi shows in 2010

With over 120 million albums sold, countless awards and stellar stadium shows year after year, Bon Jovi have little more to conquer.

So it is with great excitement that the No. 1 touring band in the world announce they are moving to London for summer 2010 for a residency at the O2 arena.

Part of their globe trotting The Circle Tour, named after their forthcoming album, the band will set off in the spring of 2010 in the US, while the London residency will start June 2010

Tickets go on sale on 30th October 2009 from www.aeglive.co.uk / 0844 775 775

After Bon Jovi opened The O2 on 24th June 2007, the now famous O2 residencies have become synonymous with the biggest acts in the world.

Bon Jovi are as big as they come, while other artists of their generation slow down, the New Jersey natives are hitting their peak. They are ranked as Billboard's #1 top-selling tour of 2008 worldwide, release new album The Circle on November 2 with an incredible documentary When We Were Beautiful. First single from the album, We Weren’t Born To Follow, is receiving massive radio support in the UK, including from Radio 1 and Radio 2.

With a live DVD of the band’s acclaimed dates at Madison Square Garden to come on November 23rd and the When We Were Beautiful book on November 3rd, it is a great time to be Bon Jovi.

Alongside those 120 million albums sold, the band have performed more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans. Bon Jovi is at their best when they are on the move and that is truer now than ever before.

Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres are preparing to spend nearly two years spanning the globe, including landmark shows as the first musical act to play at The New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey on May 26th and 27th.

They announced their World Tour today at the venue’s parking lot with a secret gig to over 5,000 fans to mark the stadium’s grand opening. That was just the start of an amazing two years ahead for Bon Jovi, one of the greatest live acts on the planet. London is in for a treat.

AEG Live’s Rob Hallett, promoting for the residency, comments:

“When Jon Bon Jovi opened the 02 with the words, ‘Hello London, welcome to your new home,’ little did he realise that we were already plotting to make it his new home! Bon Jovi are the best live band in the World. This one could run and run.”

New album is fantastic ! Such a shame that they have tainted the whole thing with this stupid residency at the 02 arena. One thing Bon Jovi have been known for is their want to tour and get to the fans !! The prices and the location have made sure that they have pushed a great deal many true fans away ! Coming to the 02 for 10 days isn't a tour it is sheer money making and unfortunatley makes a bit of a mockery out of some of the lyrics on the CD ! It would be nice to see some comment that would justify the reasoning behind this decision or maybe simply the fans that can't justify the expense of travelling to London and paying exclusive prices for tickets don't really matter !!!!

Maybe the next album could be called "Walking with your head in the clouds" or "Welcome to the real world lads" will we get any reply? doubt it, will the gigs sell out? yes, will it be full of long time fans? No, will the front rows be full of corparate knobs? yes, Will I be going to see them for the 21st time .......sadly no.

It's a real shame that the new album is about the "Working Cass Hero" stuff that BJ have always sung about, but....Guys, have you finally sold your soul? Like many people who've written comments on this thread, as well as the others, which seem to have been "removed", have you forgotten your true fans, the very people who put you to the top, and have remained loyal fans over the years? Take a leaf out of Metallica's book and do a Fan Cub only show at the O2. They put a special date on, at just £5 a ticket, with that even going to charity! What is the excuse for such stupid ticket prices for GC? x

Whats going on?! More dates have been announced for the O2 - I bought tickets for the last night at the O2 (only the cheap ones as I can't afford the stupid prices) and now I find out that it wont even be the last show I'm going to!!! My heart is sinking more and more every day - I was so excited to see the boys again, but I'm really disappointed that they seem to be forgetting about the true fans... All I can hope is that you come back in 2011 to the stadiums up North!x

Having been a fan since the 80's I am feeling more than a little disappointed at the prices that AEG Live/the O2 arena want to charge for tickets. 3 years ago, £150 got me 2 tickets to the Gold Circle. Now I am being asked for £430 for 2 seats halfway down the arena!! Given the subject matter of the new album, and the pages of complaints from disappointed fans on here, I cannot believe that the powers that be have stayed silent over this. Normally prices like this would be expected from the opportunists on Ebay, stealing tickets from real fans. I am going to stand up for what I believe in and use my earnings to feed my kids, rather than lining some fat cat's back pocket.

I was sooooo excited when I heard they were touring, screaming and shouting and generally annoying everyone. I am obsessed with bon jovi. The disappointment i now feel finding out how much these tickets will be is immense. I am so upset as I am a student and cannot afford to be spending this much even though I'm so close to doing just that. Also, it hardly feels like a world tour when they're doing one venue in the UK. They seem to be hyping this up a lot more than Lost Highway and yet are doing less venues. Please please please bon jovi tour in other places and make the tickets less. PLEASE

I can't say how disappointed I am that Jovi are only doing the O2 arena, and the prices of the tickets are ludicrous! If you were fortunate enough to be able to afford the Silver tickets at over £600 each, by the time you've paid for travel and somewhere to stay you could probably fly to the states and watch them there!!! MEN arena - £45 each, first come first serve re seats or standing space.... .O2 arena, £65 each to sit BEHIND the stage!!!! Really let us down this time guys, can't imagine how the fans in Scotland and Wales feel, hope you go back to the original venues next time :o( 100 million Bon Jovi fans can't afford the O2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been gold circle ticket holder last 4 gigs and it was worth the extra cash but this at the o2 is a joke. Just heard the new album which some songs echo's the thoughts of the world right now (were all looking after the £££). How much they know about what they charge i dont know but ive always slagged off madonna, u2 for the same overpricing. I mean £50-£200?? i paid £70 for manchester 2008 and could of spat on the stage i was that close. The dilemma is the album is amazing and sambora shines so much its the best since these days. But writing an album about the world problem with recession then doing what they've don they could lose a lot of respect.

The prices are just a mockery, especially when compared to 2 years ago at Twickenham where £80 (I think) got you into the 'goldern circle'- oh I how I regret not seizing that oppurtunity. Yet still I plan on going to the O2 but I will be buying cheap tickets because they are still Bon jovi.

london may be the capital of england but whats wrong with coming to cardiff, the capital of wales? also, as much as i love the band i'm not willing to pay silly money to watch from a screen as i'll be so far away, and whos great idea was it to have an all seated concert. who wants to sit down at a rock concert-not me thats for sure. all i can say is thank god my friend won us tickets to see you at the bbc studios as i won't be seeing you in 2010. sorry about that boys!

What have the band got against the North of England, do they not realise how expensive it is to travel to London and stay there in a hotel. Plus the price of the tickets - for the midge view - I have supported them all the time they have toured but just cannont warrant these prices. I have a disabled daughter and travelling cost alone price the normal person out of the market. Come on guys get your act together and think of the ordinary fan's. What is wrong with the stadium's around the country, where you get more people in at a sensible price. Swacker13

i have been a fan for years but there is no way i would pay that for a ticket even if i could afford it. do the boys know the price of the tickets? i know so many people who would love to go but not at those prices, they are loosing the chance of a full house fast!

£200 for a ticket !!! Some people aren't living in the real world here. There is a global recession on and even if it isn't the band that have decided the ticket prices, they should be made aware of what is being done in their name. Having said that, even if there wasn't a recession on, I think £50 is the maximum price for any gig by any band at any venue. Yes, I could pay £45, but who wants to sit up there.

Sorry guys, I've seen you up and down the country in fields, football stadiums, arenas and even smaller venues in the early days, but I ain't paying that. Not for any band.

For £200 I could go to 8 or 10 other gigs, locally too, and that is precisely what I will be doing.

Well well well....... Looks like the boys only want to hang out with people who have money or are willing to risk everything............ just for a night in the 02........... Can't post the words am feeling just now!!!!! ****!!! Have seen them quite a few times over the years, they have always come to scotland & put on the best show ever!!!! even though it poured down last time it didn't damped any spirits!!!!! They have managed this time!!!!!!....... Can't afford the money or the time for the 02..................

PLEASE REMEMBER THE REAL FANS WHO HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THERE FROM THE VERY START TO ALL THE NEW 1'S ALONG THE WAY...................
