Welcome back Bon Jovi fans! After a week off from the tour, we started up again in my home state, New Jersey! Incase you weren’t aware, New Jersey is the greatest state in America (not only b/c Bon Jovi lives there, but that does help).

We had our 4th and final show at the New Meadowlands Stadium. It was another terrific show in front of a sold out crowd. I can tell you one thing, seeing 50,000 screaming NJ fans is a sight to behold. This is also where we celebrated Richie Sambora’s birthday! We ran a voicemail campaign that allowed fans to leave Richie a birthday message on his phone. It was pretty interesting and we had great success with it (if you still feel like leaving a message, you can do so by calling 1-201-984-5711)

Aside from being a great show, an unexpected event occurred…Jon got injured right before his final song! Basically, he tore a calf muscle on stage but went on to perform. Being on the staff, we weren’t sure what was going to happen. Would he continue performing, or call it quits? To our dismay and suprise, he went on and did an awe-inspiring rendition of Livin’ on a Prayer. It felt good to work for an artist who is willing to commit like that and keep on going. I am sure there are many performers out there who would not do the same. I think the fans appreciate it just as much as well.

After NJ, we did our only 2 shed shows of the tour. This means that we were performing at outdoor venues that are basically set up in large parks dedicated to playing music. People were laying out on blankets, kicking soccer balls around, throwing frisbee, etc. It was a really unique vibe and a nice change of pace. Aside from this, the acoustics were amazing in these little sheds! The audio resonated perfectly into the crowd and you could really hear the fans singing along.

Currently, we are midway through our Canadian stadium run. We are fighting off rain every other day, so keep your fingers crossed. There are some serious T storm clouds overhead right now and the band is just pulling up for the Winnipeg show! Good time, eh!?
